Getting Dressed | February
seasonal confusion, an exhibition opening, and some spring finds currently in my cart
Happy Sunday! Anyone else finally emerging from winter hibernation? February was a good one! A Charleston “snow” day, a Rodin opening, a few dinners with friends, longer days, and approximately one week of Valentine's Day celebrations. Here are a few outfits from the month!
Outfit(s) 1 | Hello from Sea Island!
Worn for The Southern C 2026 Summit on Sea Island.

Outfit Details: la doublej sweater (found mine on TRR), alemais pants (similar ones here) // green blazer (similar here and here) // hermès 140 shawl (check out 1stdibs from a good assortment), by malene birger coat // blouse, wiggy kit leopard skirt (old, similar here).
This was my first time attending The Southern C Summit (technically a January trip, but we’ll count it) and I was so grateful to be in the company of such inspiring, creative, female entrepreneurs. It was a quick couple of days, but a great way to get motivated for the year!
Outfit 2 | The Season of L-O-V-E
Worn for Valentine’s Day out and about in Charleston with my family!

Outfit Details: zara heart cardigan, wool coat, barrel jeans (the most comfortable - they feel like sweatpants), flabelus mary janes (size up - I comfortably walked many miles in them!), hermès silk scarf
I love everything about Valentine’s Day and enthusiastically lean in year after year. This year I celebrated for a full week. Decorated the house, attended a favorite things Galentine’s party, made a Valentine’s breakfast for my family, and spent the actual day wearing a cardigan I specifically bought for the day (I am, in fact, my mother’s daughter).
Over breakfast, Evan mentioned he’d never think to do any of this. He chuckled at the cabinet full of Valentine’s decor I pull out every February (and quietly add to throughout the year…don’t sleep on those Target post-holiday sales). I couldn’t imagine not doing this, especially with daughters. Celebrating hallmark holidays might genuinely be my love language.
Outfit 3 | Rodin & Rare Evenings
Worn to the Gibbes Museum for the Rodin exhibition opening night.
Outfit Details: zara blouse (old), faux fur vest (old), 11 juillet chickie bag, jeans (favorite every day pair), chanel slingbacks (similar here)
One of the things I love most about Charleston is how effortlessly world-class culture shows up here. It’s 1000% harder to get a dinner reservation. When a rare child-free evening presented itself, popping by the Rodin exhibition at the Gibbes felt low-lift, high on vibes. Recommend if you’re in the area.
Outfit 4 | The Season of Confusion
Worn throughout the month as Charleston tried to figure out if it was full-on winter or spring.

Outfit Details: puffer coat (not too heavy and packable!), wool coat, blazer (exact color sold out)
Charleston weather in February gives me serious seasonal whiplash. We’ll have a 28-degree morning and a 77-degree afternoon in the same week, sometimes the same day. Layers are one of my favorite ways to add visual interest to an outfit…and honestly, one of the categories where I have no brand loyalty whatsoever. A great find is a great find, whether it’s vintage, Zara, or a splurge. The only rule is that it should feel like something.
In My Cart
I'm mentally already in spring, so here's what's currently in my cart:
Finally scored a pair of the always sold-out guacho jeans in ecru
Chartreuse (I know, I know…but promise it’s good!) washable cashmere set
If I must wear a sneaker….
Wearing caviar > eating caviar
My questionable green thumb won’t stop me from wearing this hat while I attempt to garden this spring
Also this hat for a little spring drama
Love this more tailored approach for a denim jacket
Accepting that I may not be the only one in Charleston buying this gingham number…but she’s cute though. And a set….
Bricking my phone and buying one for my husband asap (you’re welcome)
Given how much we play cards in my house, I can’t believe I don’t already have this…
More soon!
